Salmon Carbonara

Step 1

While the pasta is cooking, lightly sauté crushed garlic and shallots with a little oil.

Step 2

Place eggs, thickened cream, and parmesan in a bowl. Season, then mix gently with a fork.

Step 3

Drain pasta and then return to the same pan away from the stove top.

Step 4

Add the smoked salmon, egg mixture, garlic, shallots and parsley to the hot pasta; toss to combine. The heat from the pasta will cook the egg slightly and form a creamy sauce.

Step 5

Serve immediately, garnish with extra parmesan and enjoy!


  • 250g Tassal Smoked Tassie Salmon – cut into strips
  • 400g spaghetti, cooked as per packet instructions
  • 1 Tsp olive oil
  • 2 garlic cloves, crushed
  • 3 eggs
  • 100ml thickened cream
  • 2 Tbsp flat-leaf parsley leaves, chopped roughly
  • 2 shallots, finely sliced
  • 2/3 cup freshly grated parmesan, plus extra to serve
  • Salt and pepper
