Smoked Salmon Rice Paper Rolls

METHOD

Step 1

Remove the Tassal Premium Selection Smoked Salmon slices form the packing and separate the slices. Cut each slice in half and set aside.

Step 2

Lay a damp tea towel or cotton cloth on your workbench. Dip the rice paper square into a bowl of warm water and remove it quickly. Place it on the damp cloth.

Step 3

Place a whole herb leaf into the centre of the rice paper square, cover the leaf with a slice of smoked salmon, top the smoked salmon with 1-2 tbs of cold sushi rice, a flake or two of hot smoked salmon and a sprinkle of chopped herbs.

Step 4

Fold the smoked salmon over the filling ingredients.

Step 5

To Roll: Fold the edges into the centre of the filling to form a large rectangular shape, then fold the bottom of the rice paper over the filling and roll to enclose tightly. If needed brush the edges with a little water to secure.

Step 6

Place each roll onto a damp cloth and cover until required.

Step 7

Serve chilled with your favourite Vietnamese dipping Sauce.

Step 8

Notes: These Rice paper rolls are gluten free, easy to prepare. Other ingredients maybe added and changed to make them your own. If you like your rice paper roll large you can purchase large round rice paper from the Asian grocery stores and some Supermarkets.

Ingredients:

180g pack of Tassal Superior Gold Smoked Salmon
100g hot smoked salmon flakes
2 ½ cups sushi rice, cooked and cooled
½ cup fresh herbs, roughly chopped
20 x 16×16 Vietnamese rice paper squares
Warm water
20 x fresh sprigs of dill and small mint leaves
Vietnamese dipping sauce, to serve
