Steam

Steam Salmon is a versatile, healthy protein and is suprisingly easy to steam.

Add liquid to a saucepan and bring to the boil. Herbs can be added to the liquid for a flavour infusion. Season salmon with a little salt and place in a lidded steamer basket over the pan. Steam for approximately 8 minutes depending on the thickness of the fillet. Slices of lemon and herbs such as dill may be added to the steamer basket if desired.

Tips Place salmon in a bamboo steamer or pot above boiling water Cook for 4-5 min to produce a medium rare fillet Tails and thinner pieces will cook quicker
